Volunteers are a valued and integral part of our organisation. They enrich
and enhance the life of Kew and play a vital part in supporting us.
Climbers and Creepers Play Zone
We need sparky volunteers to help Kew’s youngest visitors explore
the amazing world of plants in ‘Climbers and Creepers’,
an exciting play zone for young children.
Kew's Discovery
Programme for elderly and disabled people does not currentlt require
additional volunteers. Any future vacancies will be posted here.
Our Information Volunteers' team is now full. Future opportunities
will be posted on this site.
You will be engaging and involving children and their adult chaperons
in the various exhibits around the gardens. You must be available
weekdays only 9.45 am - 2.15 pm or part time within those hours.
You will be supporting the work of our horticulturists by helping with
basic horticultural maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding
and propagation. Opportunities are available from Monday to Friday only,
both outdoors and in our glasshouses. We currently have a waiting list of horticultural volunteers and are not actively recruiting to our Horticultural Volunteer programme at present.
For those of you who are interested in plants and enjoy a customer focussed environment, we are also looking for volunteers to help with plant maintenance and answer general customer enquiries in our Plant Shop at Victoria Gate. Opportunities are available every day and volunteers would not be required to use a till.
