Herbarium Collections
Herbarium staff and plant family responsibilities
As an outcome from Kew's Science Strategy, the Herbarium staff is organized
around three major sections: Monocotyledoneae and Dicotyledoneae Systematic
Teams, and Regional Teams.

The Keeper, Prof. David Mabberley, is assisted by three Assistant Keepers,
each one responsible for one section, and the Herbarium Support Team
(Anne Morley-Smith, Lydia Elstone, Meriel Biles and Charlotte Couch).
The Monocots section, managed
by David Simpson, the Assistant Keeper, is comprised of four teams:

The Dicot Systematic Teams are responsible for naming and curation
of material of their families from anywhere in the World. Alan Paton
is the Assistant Keeper in charge of the five Systematic teams.

The Regional Teams identify all incoming material
from their region, and also have curatorial responsibilities for a number
of selected families. Rogier de Kok is the Assistant Keeper in charge
