Guided Tours
Daily General Tours
FREE guided walking tours, daily at 11am and 2pm.
General tours leave twice daily from the Guides' desk, just inside the Victoria Plaza, Kew Road, at 11am and 2pm. Each guide presents his or her own tour, taking in the highlights of the season, exploring the exotic plants in the glasshouses and explaining the history and work of Kew. General 'Gate' Tours are free of charge and last approximately one hour and are FREE OF CHARGE. They are available throughout the year (except 24 & 25 Dec when the Gardens are closed).
Guides can take up to 15 people on a first-come, first-served basis. You will need to register with the guide approximately 15 minutes before the tour departs. These general tours are designed for the general public. Groups of more than 5 people must pre-book; please see pre-booked tours.
Moore at Kew Tours
FREE guided walking tours, at the following times.
1 February - 29 February at 12pm only
1 - 20 March at 12pm & 1.30pm
21 - 24 March at 12pm, 1.30pm & 3pm
25 - 28 March at 12pm & 1.30pm
29 - 30 March
12pm, 1.30pm & 3pm
These tours will introduce you to Moore's monumental sculptures which look stunning within the Kew landscape. Learn more about this important British artist, his inspiration and his work. Leaving daily from the Guides' Desk, Victoria Plaza, tours last approximately one hour and are FREE OF CHARGE. Please register with the guide 15 minutes before tour is due to begin.
Tree Identification Tours

Pre-booked tours, 11.30am every Saturday
Starting from the Plants + People Exhibition, Museum No. 1 (the large Victorian building opposite the Palm House). Tours last 1½ hours. Limited to 15 people.
£5 per person (note this does not include cost of garden entry)
On this special weekly tour with one of Kew's Volunteer Guides, you will learn to identify common trees, whatever the season. You will need to wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear because these tours will take place in all but the most inclement weather (at the Guide's discretion on the day).
