The Woodland Glade and Waterlily Pond

Situated at the south end of the Gardens, the Woodland Glade is planted with giant redwoods and many other conifers. There are also striking plantings of colourful summer and autumn shrubs.

The small Waterlily Pond on the edge of the Woodland Glade and is best seen from May to September, with a host of waterlilies, irises and other flowering marginal plants as well as a profusion of aquatic life.

Visitors will often face a strutting bevy of Kew's peacocks, who have taken up a leisured residence here.
