Brazil nut - Bertholletia excelsa

Think hard: Where are Brazil nuts from?

Yes, most Brazil nuts are produced in Brazil and come from the wild!
Dutch traders first brought them to Europe in 1633. The first large quantities of Brazil nuts arrived in Europe around 1818.

They can be eaten raw, roasted or salted, but beware they have a 67% fat content! Remember... A moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips!
